MIKE DAVIDSON

Co-VP of Education

Owen Graduate School of Management

Mike is an MBA student at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management. He is passionate about increasing exposure and opportunities for MBA students in sports and entertainment.

Prior to Owen, Mike spent 5 years working as a petroleum engineer for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in a variety of roles, most recently in Corporate Development advising on upstream and midstream energy M&A transactions. He is looking to repurpose that experience into sports, specifically as it relates to private equity investments in teams, leagues, and media rights. He also worked for a consulting firm to plan and execute The Palmetto Championship at Congaree, a PGA TOUR event that took the place of the Canadian Open on the 2021 calendar due to COVID-19, with just 72 days' notice. He will be working in private equity this summer.

Mike was born in Aberdeen, Scotland then lived in Trinidad & Tobago before settling down in Houston with his family. He graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering, where he was a punter/place-kicker on the football team. Both of his brothers played collegiate and professional soccer and their father is a professional golf instructor.
