We are recruiting for the next class of Activision Blizzard’s summer MBA interns. These participants will work in critical roles across Activision Blizzard, Activision Publishing, and Blizzard Entertainment in Southern California. They will contribute to key business functions, while developing networks and experiences designed to accelerate their careers. The Global Insights & Analytics internships (Blizzard) are based in Irvine, CA. The Tech Strategy internships (Activision) are based in Santa Monica, CA.
2023 MBA summer interns in these roles will have the opportunity to return to their summer internship team for a fulltime opportunity and/or apply to the Rotation Program.
Currently enrolled in MBA program and graduating by May/June of 2024.
3+ years full-time work experience.
Demonstrated experience in project management and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
Ability to steer others through influence and teamwork signifying advanced interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Skillfully use data to research complex information and produce summaries utilizing excellent numerical and statistical skills.
Can move nimbly between strategy and execution.
Superb presentation skills with the ability to adjust to various audiences ranging from senior leaders, external partners, and cross functional peers.
Self-motivated and driven.
Prior experience in consulting, business development, organizational effectiveness.
Candidates must be available for a 10-week internship starting mid-June
Your Mission/Internship Opportunities
Global Insights & Analytics - MICI and Player Insights The Global Insights team informs critical business decisions through in-depth analysis of gameplay, business, and operational data, for example, helping to create and define performance benchmarks, develop ROI models to measure financial impact of key initiatives, and monitor the competitive landscape to identify external factors affecting business trends. The ideal candidate is ready to make an immediate, meaningful impact with data. Intern will have a passion for gaming and strong interest to learn about Blizzard games, products, and services. They will be comfortable with the practical application of statistical models and have a thirst to drink form the fire hose of data to make sense of it. To ramp up quickly over the 10 weeks, we suggest that students have previous experience analyzing data. We also suggest that they be deeply familiar with console games (mid – hard core) and the gaming industry for this specific role.

Tech Strategy The Central Technology team serves as the strategic partner for game development studios in the areas of online services, engine tools, graphics, systems engineering, security, and infrastructure. We support all aspects of the development process from build pipeline to launch, collaborating with studios on best practices in technology and architecture to help build franchises and the Activision IP portfolio. All the while, we also serve as the bridge to the publishing organization to align game technical development with 1st party management, analytics, product management, marketing, and public relations.
Engage in various strategic technology planning and analytics to develop key processes, procedures, and recommendations across Activision and its studios
Craft strategies and execution plans related to strategic development initiatives ranging from, but not limited to, aligning our technology capabilities, and streamlining processes to diving into our live operations tools roadmap. This team requires extensive cross-group coordination and will be an opportunity to develop deep internal relationships across the organization
Support strategy and planning for technology initiatives across Call of Duty development
Think strategically at a global level and effectively develop key processes, procedures and communications that facilitate planning and execution of key technology priorities for COD
Execute on extensive cross-group coordination, excellent communication skills, operational excellence, strong understanding/aptitude for technology and the ability to build strong internal/external relationships
