Overview
The 2024 NBA Graduate Internship is a 10-week program that runs from June 3 – August 9, 2024. The program provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the business of basketball, develop critical career skills and contribute to meaningful projects across a range of departments within the NBA.
Program Eligibility
The program is for students who will be enrolled in a graduate degree program at an accredited higher education institution at the time of the internship. The program is particularly relevant for those studying for a JD or MBA but is also open to other graduate students in related areas (e.g. sport, health, business or technology).
Candidates should be in excellent academic standing, have strong written, and verbal communication skills. We look for those who possess leadership skills as demonstrated through relevant extracurricular or community activities, along with meaningful internships or other similar experiences.
Program Experience
Interns are aligned to a specific department for the duration of the program and work on real NBA projects and initiatives. Depending on the department, you may spend time working in both the New York and New Jersey offices. A small number of internships may be remote. Interns work a full 40-hour work-week (Monday-Friday), along with occasional optional evening & weekend events. In addition to on-the-job experience, interns are invited to participate in a broad array of professional development programs, community and social experiences.
Pay
The Graduate Internship is paid at a rate of $33 per hour. A limited number of stipends to support housing & travel expenses may be provided based on need.
