  • Senior leader on the Yahoo Sports sales and marketing team positioning our brand to high-potential target clients for Yahoo Sports’ premium advertising solutions

  • Responsible for managing direct client relationships in addition to overseeing a growing team of Yahoo Sports account directors focused on premium advertising revenue, working in close collaboration with the Yahoo Sports Head of Sales

  • Identify and prioritize high-potential target clients for Yahoo Sports’ premium advertising solutions

  • Collaborate on and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets through the sale of Web and mobile, Video and audio, sponsorships, editorial integrations, and custom programming development; events and other yet-to-be-imagined ideas

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, from prospecting to contract execution and beyond

  • Stay abreast of key industry trends and competitive offerings to inform editorial and product

  • Create and present proposals that address the client’s specific business objectives and marketing challenges

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that bespoke ad deals are tailored to meet the client’s needs

A Lot About You:

  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience in the digital Sports media environment

  • 3+ years experience in sales management overseeing a team of at least 3 others

  • Strong network of relationships in relevant industry sectors

  • Deep understanding of the Sports industry, including the ability to speak knowledgeably about market trends and client challenges

  • Familiarity with the top sports-industry voices and influencers

  • Experience coupling proprietary ad formats and data products to recommend performant media buys for clients, and selling non-IAB standard media

  • Demonstrated comfort and fluidity in public speaking and media appearances

  • Passionate about Yahoo Sports’ mission

The compensation for this position ranges from $174,105.00 - $378,460.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
