Job Summary: This position is part of a growing Growth Marketing team with the mission to discover, inspire and engage fans around the world. The Senior Director will be responsible for leading integrated marketing efforts globally for NBA League Pass. You will lead season-long go-to-market planning, building campaigns, ensuring cross-functional alignment, executing seamlessly, and reporting on the success to peers and leadership. You will also be managing relationships with international regions and business partners. You are highly organized and enjoy working through ambiguity. You enjoy working cross-functionally and inspiring teams to work towards mutual goals. You should have a strategic vision for the future of the Digital Growth function at the NBA and be capable of building and executing a step-by-step plan to translate that vision into successful strategies for League Pass. You are data-driven and use data to make decisions. You want to deeply understand the NBA fan and deliver the best experience possible for them. Major Responsibilities:

  • Own strategic planning and promotional calendar to drive subscriptions for League Pass, as well as manage all health metrics for the business, such as engagement and retention

  • Oversee campaigns for League Pass, partnering with internal and external teams to bring campaigns to life across multiple channels and measure the impact of that work.

  • Work with the NBA brand team to bring League Pass into broader NBA-wide campaigns.

  • Drive full-season strategy and budgets to support company growth goals, responsible for tracking progress and asking critical business questions to encourage the team to do even more impactful work.

  • Comfortable working with Product teams to shape product features and drive comprehensive go-to-market plans.

  • Understand subscription and loyalty businesses holistically to build optimal ways to build pipelines for new product releases and optimize conversions to existing subscription products.

  • Oversee the internal execution team and partnerships with external agencies, establishing processes & providing guidance on strategy on briefs, calendars, and creative.

  • Lead strategic expansion and partnerships with both international region teams and other business units within the NBA, such as business development, the NBA store, and brand.

  • Work closely with the Data Analytics team to build reports that keep a pulse on key business metrics and inform senior leadership of key trends.

  • Partner with our creative agency to refine communication strategy and optimize creative performance across channels based on customer insights and data

  • Effectively analyze results of initiatives, then use those findings to influence future strategies and report performance to leaders.

Required Education/Professional Experience

  • BA/BS required. MBA is a plus

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes

  • 8-10+ years of work experience in integrated or growth marketing, with an emphasis on subscription and/or campaign planning

  • Consumer experience required. Subscription, media, or sports-based experience is preferred.

  • Experience defining new functions

  • Experience managing people / leading teams is required

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver high-quality written and verbal content

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced setting without ready-made processes
