ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is looking for a highly-effective Manager to support the Business Development efforts within our growing Strategic Partnerships function. You will play a key role on the team during a dynamic period for the Company as we implement new partnerships and pursue expansion opportunities with existing partners. The Business Development side of the Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and launching tent-pole, impactful partnerships to support Peloton’s subscriber growth objectives. Reporting to the Director, Business Development and Corporate Development, this individual will own and lead critical components of the end-to-end execution of our deals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a high-energy and hard-working team culture.

*This role is not remote and will require you to report to our NYHQ every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.


YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Play a key role in Business Development activities, including evaluating and implementing strategic partnerships that can contribute significantly to the company and team’s growth objectives

  • You will be responsible for helping to shape and launch these partnerships by working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including building and owning relationships with smaller potential partners and evolving relationships that we already have in place.

  • In partnership with your Manager, support the development of the business case and strategic rationale for potential partnerships and shepherd the internal approval processes by crafting comprehensive materials that surface key insights such as assumed subscriber additions and overall revenue impact

  • Support the sourcing of attractive growth distribution deals by leading and owning analyses and primary research to advise our priorities, perspective on market trends, and areas of the greatest opportunity.

  • Work closely with FP&A to shape the development of financial forecasts for potential partnerships (Revenue, Margins, Sub Adds, etc) that fold into our annual budget.

  • Support Weekly and Monthly Business Review meetings to ensure we’re tracking towards our budget and KPIs.

  • Work closely with the Strategic Partner Management side of the team, Marketing, and Product, while developing a nuanced understanding of each area’s priorities and focus areas.

  • Synthesize findings, drive end-to-end storyline for projects and build stakeholder-ready, error-free material with minimal guidance

  • Proactively build trust with stakeholders at multiple levels who seek them out for additional work / support

  • Support your team leader in driving overall team effectiveness and efficiency with an emphasis on continuous improvement in processes, deal playbooks and protocols, and cross-functional collaboration models.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience

  • Prior experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or strategic partnerships

  • Exceptional presentation and slide-creation skills with an ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly-organized and meticulous self-starter.

  • Experience managing multiple cross-functional large-scale projects at once, adhering to and refining standard methodologies and repeatable processes

  • Ability to see the big picture while remaining diligent

  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization - whether in writing or verbally - and to present comfortably to team leadership

  • Highly conscientious and proactive in managing up, escalating information, and over-communicating with your manager with an appropriate level of detail and a nuanced understanding of what matters most

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, experience performing thorough and varied analyses and research.

  • Familiarity with accounting, finance, and subscription business models

  • Foundational understanding of legal documents is a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail and naturally self-motivated.

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and MS Office (Excel)

Base Salary: $138,800.00 to $180,400.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
