The base salary range for this role is $175,000 per year - $250,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. For information about our benefits, please visit https://benefitsatfanatics.com/ As the Senior Director of Basketball Trading at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will be responsible for all facets of the Basketball Trading performance. Reporting into the SVP Trading, you will play an integral role in the Trading Leadership team, as well as the wider Fanatics Sportsbook team. We are looking for a strong leader, who strives to improve the customer experience with everything they do.
Responsibilities
Own and be accountable for Gross Gaming Revenue.
Design and implement a market-leading Pricing Strategy that rewards customers for betting with Fanatics, whilst hitting company objectives.
Recruit and lead a team of traders who are responsible for the accurate compiling and trading of everything Basketball related, whilst creating an environment that allows them to flourish both personally and professionally.
Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Technology and Operations teams to create and implement a best-in-class, intuitive, and scalable Basketball betting experience for our customers - driven by data, user research, and competitor analysis
Ensure that Fanatics are putting the customer at the heart of our Trading strategies
Manage partnerships with all suppliers which impact our betting proposition
Operate and behave as a senior leader at all times. Supporting our colleagues and proudly representing the Fanatics brand externally.
Work cross-functionally across the entire Fanatics ecosystem to best utilize and incorporate Fanatics’ strategic assets into the FBG product.
Experience and Skills
A real passion for Basketball, and an inherent understanding of what Basketball fans want in order to be entertained.
Multiple years in a leadership capacity, building high-performing teams and developing individuals
[Preferred] Experience of working within a sports entertainment industry
[Preferred] Skilled at curating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
[Preferred] Experience of working within a Trading function
Preference to work in an entrepreneurial, hyper growth environment where decisions are made quickly
Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, and effectively work cross-functionally across different teams at FBG and the larger Fanatics organization
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to simplify all facets of Trading to senior leadership
This role is based out of the US, UK or Canada
Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings
