The Sr. Manager, Partnership Activation is responsible for the development, fulfillment, execution, and overall management of Winner’s Alliance’s sponsorship marketing and licensing programs. Additionally, the Sr. Manager will work very closely with the sales team to assist them in securing new brand partners and licensees via gathering data, ideation and creation of sales decks. The Sr. Manager will also be heavily involved in the renewal and upsell of existing partnerships. The Sr. Manager will have a thorough understanding of the rules and guidelines set forth by our Players Associations for trademark usage and group licensing.

This position will have various day-to-day program management and integration responsibilities between operations, marketing, and player relations department. In managing the sponsorship programs and event activations, these projects will require the candidate to work independently, and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have very strong project management experience in order to lead these programs from initial ideation through execution. This position requires a strong client service background, communication skills, attention to detail and experience in developing strategic recommendations.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of sponsorship and program management from the initial planning stages through execution and wrap-up (develop tactical plans, manage status reports, lead conference calls, manage client and vendor relationships, manage internal communication and integration, etc.)

  • Serve as primary client contact to drive program management

  • Manage program budgets and oversee all measurement elements

  • Have a strong understanding of each partner’s business, overall marketing goals and objectives, and KPIs

  • Plan, manage and document all partnership and client communications, including regular status calls, recap meetings, and presentations

  • Assist in developing sales and marketing materials, presentations, documents, etc.

  • Further partner growth efforts by successfully fulfilling all elements within sponsorship deals and consistently presenting sponsors with new marketing opportunities that will help their business

  • Implement and execute all assets of sponsorships

  • Further the new business sales efforts by collaborating with the commercial team and agency partner to identify revenue opportunities utilizing existing and newly created partnership inventory

  • Manage annual partnership recap meetings by providing data and results of campaigns

  • Lead and/or assist sales team with all upsell and renewal conversations

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 8 years of professional sports property and/or agency experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (including CRM & Project Management tools) and PowerPoint

  • Successful experience in managing major sponsorship deals

  • Strong organizational and logistical expertise.
