Job Overview:
The Venue Insights & Analytics intern will work with the Commercial Director, Venue & e-Commerce and the Head of Ticketing & Membership to establish reporting and business intelligence suites for the commercial operations within Manchester United’s stadium, Old Trafford. This will include General Admission, Hospitality, Museum & Tours, Food & Beverage, digital media & marketing.

Location:
Old Trafford Stadium Complex or Remote
Different timezones to GMT will be considered but candidates must be able to speak to personnel during UK office hours
Duration:
3-month minimum timeframe optimal-final length to be discussed
Target start January 2023
Salary:
To be agreed based on experience & time commitment possible
Responsibilities:
Work with senior leadership in Venue to establish the key KPIs, data sources where these are contained and bring them together holistically across all business units
Collate historic data on a consistent basis to create a baseline reporting framework
Work with the Head of Data for Manchester United to lay the groundwork for migration of these data sets and visualizations to PowerBI in Q2 2023
Produce a Matchday Recap report presenting a cross-functional view of key KPIs & metrics from Matchdays which will in time be automated
Participate in the club’s Matchday Recap meeting based off these insights
Analyze data and produce insights and recommendations for business objectives and decision-making.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Prior experience working with the use of analytics, data science or related and appropriate field
Bachelor's degree in a related subject matter is preferred but not essential
Evidence of core technical skills required (Excel, PowerPoint, Understanding of PowerBI) and combined with a problem-solving mindset
Outstanding data visualization skills
Prior experience working with professional sports teams or events business is preferable given the short timeframe, but it is not essential
Ability to work independently with a range of stakeholders based on clear direction and objectives
Experience in working with Tableau/Power BI and/or other data visualization tools
